![]() With some files it shows the code (xml for example) right away, and even though I cannot read much, I enjoy the look into the source. And when I open it again there is no data salad, but my clean files are there, the one not opened doesn't show any more. I can test if LittleSecrets displays a certain filetype (Word - it doesn't, ragtime - it doesn't, htm - it does!), but there is nothing destroyed through my experimental approach, all that happens is that it will quit right away. It reads htm files and all of these I can just dump in the tree area and either a note will be created or even a folder, if there are many notes to be displayed. I can dump files of different kinds on if: pictures, rtf text files and plain text files. I am thrilled by the features this little app shows in heavy use. And seems to be programmed by someone who likes qualitiy over show off! I export Inspiration 7.5 mindmaps as htm and they will show properly right away. Use DEVONagent Pro to capture articles, pictures, or links with a single click. The Sorter lets you capture files when DEVONthink is not open. LittleSecrets reads my AppleWorks files (text) instantly, much faster than if I had to open the application. Quickly add digital documents to the inbox of DEVONthink without interrupting your flow, GTD® style. But here I found one program which is forgiving, intuitive and more than worth it's price. I was looking for a note manager and mindmapping program and was searching out DevonNote, DevonThink, Inspiration, tinderbox and Curio. I like to have many and to push entries in a breeze between home and work and scrapbook etc. An DevonNote does not display that many file types. My thinking is not delayed by rolling pizzas any more. Thanks for a great app! And the price is great to! It is par with DevonNote which will be three times the price. This application is so fast, I couldn't believe Jaguar can be so swift. Program Version is 3.8. I am on a 2022 MacBook Air with MacOS Monterey 12.4. It is a joy to use and, for me, a happy ending to a long search. Everytime I go to DevonThink Preferences and want to change the section the program crashes. I just want to say: Thank You!! I love it - the simple, clean design and the perfect options in it's preferences that make it ideal for keeping all of my important information safe but easily accessible at a moments notice. I gave up for quite a while but NotePad Deluxe was the last of my PowerPC applications and with Mac OS 10.7 Lion's release right around the corner I decided to start looking again. Those didn't seem like lofty software search goals but I looked everywhere and tried dozens of apps without one measuring up. Who wants the program to dictate what fields I have to fill in? Just give me a secure, clean space to type out the information that's relevant and let me organize it into groups of my choosing. Unfortunately all of the "Password" applications trotted out 'features' that I really didn't like. However it hasn't been updated since 2005 so I knew I needed to start looking for a replacement. I kept all of my website & email passwords, credit cards, software licenses, etc. Not sure if I can do so on iPad or not.LittleSecrets is the little gem I've been searching for for years. Really wish I could use their superior PDF app. I used to be a user of PDFpen, but man oh man is PDF Expert a great app all the way around. Then you can make a note about this highlight, which shows up as both highlight and note in the inspector.ĭT used to allow you to use a third-party PDF app in the past. To add a comment to said highlight, go back to the highlight and right-click on the highlight and select ‘Add Note’. See screenshot and you’ll see the blue icons in the bar just above the preview window. I recommend using PopClip and install the ‘highlight text’ add-on. I found that using turning on editing tools (the icon of pencils to the right) and then selecting the T that is in a box on the far left, allows you to select text. CTL Z did not undo this at all.Ĭommenting on highlights is a useful part, but the PDF editor in DT3 is clunky at best. Worse, when I clicked on a highlight that I had made, it quickly changed the highlight to a much wider box and highlighted the entire field. I had a couple empty text boxes that I had to go delete in the inspector. When you click anywhere else, it makes a new box. Once you’ve selected Text Box, it is now persistent. Select ‘text’ and you can then make a text box on the PDF which then shows up on the inspector when you have highlights and annotations selected. I ended up here because I couldn’t find it, it didn’t show up in the inspector, didn’t show up in the secondary menu, and so I googled it.
